Guijöm supports the Heart of Forest NGO: "If we lose forests, we lose the fight against poverty." “If we lose forests, we lose a unique heritage of biodiversity”. Since 2005, the non-profit NGO Coeur de Forêt (‘Heart of Forest’) act for the forests’ and humans' preservation. Coeur de Forêt carries out programs to : REFOREST, restore and preserve the forests ecosystems’ biodiversity through sustainable forest management RAISE AWARENESS among children and adults of preserving forest heritage and its uses SUPPORT and empower producers in agroforestry production systems COMMERCIALISE for the benefit of small producers for fair and transparent trade Present in 5 countries (Madagascar, Bolivia, Indonesia, Cameroon and France), it has allowed the planting of more than 1,000,000 trees of 253 different species, the support of 25,000 beneficiaries, and the development of 33 organic products. & fair trade from forest collection or agro-forestry crops throughout the world.
